Punjabi Mela 2026 – A Grand Celebration of Culture, Heritage & Unity


The Punjabi Mela 2026, proudly organized by the United Nation Welfare Foundation (UNWF) with the Department of Art, Culture and Languages, Government of Delhi, emerged as one of Delhi’s most vibrant and culturally enriching events. The mela brought together tradition, community spirit, and celebration on a grand scale, serving as a dynamic platform to showcase the richness of Punjabi heritage while fostering unity, inclusivity, and social harmony.

The event was graced by Sh. Virender Sachdeva Ji, Pradesh Adhyaksh, BJP Delhi, as the Chief Guest. His esteemed presence added immense prestige to the occasion and reflected strong support for initiatives that promote cultural preservation and community engagement.

The event witnessed the gracious presence of several eminent dignitaries from political, administrative, legal, and social sectors, including Dr. Anil Goyal Ji, MLA, Krishna Nagar, Delhi; Sh. R. P. Meena Ji, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara, Delhi; Sh. Deepak Gaba Ji, District President, Shahdara, Delhi; Sh. Sandeep Kapoor Ji, Chairman, DAMS, Delhi; Sh. Ram Kishore Ji, Zone Chairman, Municipal Corporation of Delhi; and Sh. Rajesh Mishra Ji, Former Secretary, Bar Council of Delhi.

The gathering was further enriched by the presence of respected members including Sh. Alok Mishra Ji, Sh. Amit Tanwar Ji, Sh. Pratyaksh Gupta Ji, Smt. Varsha Jaiswal Ji, Smt. Poonam Sharma Ji, Sh. Vijay Gilhotra Ji, and Sh. Kapil Rana Ji, whose presence added further value to the occasion.
Punjabi Mela 2026 offered an immersive cultural experience that beautifully captured the vibrancy and spirit of Punjab. The event featured electrifying Bhangra and Gidda performances, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere. Renowned Punjabi artists Joban Sandhu and Shipra Goyal delivered outstanding live performances, captivating the audience and adding star value to the event. Alongside this, a wide variety of authentic Punjabi cuisine, cultural exhibits, and interactive activities made the mela engaging and memorable for attendees of all age groups.

The mela served as more than just a cultural event; it became a powerful platform for strengthening community bonds and promoting social harmony. Families, youth, artists, and community leaders came together to celebrate shared traditions and values, reflecting the true spirit of unity and inclusiveness.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Virender Sachdeva Ji appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of cultural events in preserving traditions and strengthening social unity. Dr. Anil Goyal Ji also praised the event and acknowledged the leadership and efforts behind its successful execution.

The event was successfully led by Adv. Dr. Priyanka Arora Ji, President, UNWF, along with Sh. Sanjay Sharma Ji, Secretary, UNWF & Mandal Adhyaksh, Geeta Colony, Delhi, Smt. Poonam Malhotra Ji, President – Women & Children Protection, UNWF, and Sh. Sonu Ji, whose collective efforts ensured the seamless execution and grand success of the event.

Punjabi Mela 2026 concluded with a powerful message of unity, cultural pride, and collective progress, standing as a shining example of how cultural initiatives can bring communities together and create lasting social impact.

The occasion was honoured by the presence of Sh. Virender Sachdeva Ji, Hon’ble President, BJP Delhi, with the ceremonial felicitation carried out by Ms. Priyanka Arora Ji, President, UNWF, and Sh. Rajesh Mishra Ji, Secretary, BCD.

The cultural segment showcased the richness of Punjab through mesmerizing performances by eminent artists Ms. Shipra Goyal and Sh. Joban Sandhu, alongside traditional Giddha and folk dance ensembles.
