United Nation Welfare Foundation has organized Tree Plantation Drive on the occasion of 75th Independence Day, 2021 in the park at Police Station Krishna Nagar, Delhi, India. Adv. Dr. Priyanka Arora (President – UNWF) along with SHO Mr. Rajneesh Kumar with team of police officials namely Mr. Arun Kumar, Mr. Amit Paliwal, Ms. Meenu of Police Station Krishna Nagar, Delhi, India and team of UNWF namely Ms. Ravi Besoya (Co-ordinator), Ms. Neena Malhotra (Vice President – Clothes Distribution). Many persons participated as Volunteers for planting trees.
Tree Plantation drives combat many environmental issues like deforestation, erosion of soil, desertification in semi-arid areas, global warming and hence enhancing the beauty and balance of the environment.
Tree planting is carried out in many different parts of the world, and strategies may differ widely across nations and regions and among individual reforestation companies. Tree planting is grounded in forest science, and if performed properly can result in the successful regeneration of a deforested area. Reforestation is the commercial logging industry’s answer to the large-scale destruction of old growth forests, but a planted forest rarely replicates the biodiversity and complexity of a natural forest.
Because trees remove carbon dioxide from the air as they grow, tree planting can be used as a Geo-engineering technique to remove CO2 from the atmosphere. Desert greening projects are also motivated by improved biodiversity and reclamation of natural water systems, but also improved economic and social welfare due to an increased number of jobs in farming and forestry.
We all are feeling happy to connect with nature and a step towards to protect our green environment.
We urge you to be together and/or help us by donating Rs.100 for each Plant to reach out our goal of planting 100000 trees in further upcoming Plantation Drive to procure our priceless green environment.

Chabeel are organised all over Punjab and in Norther India and internationally by Sikhs and others, during peak Summer season as a rememberance of the torture meted out to their 5th Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji and finally the relief that river Ravi provided to him. Guru Arjan Dev Ji was made to sit on red hot iron sheet with Mughal soldiers pouring burning hot sand on his body. He was dipped in boiling water and the torture went in for 5 long days. All this torture was because Guru Sahib refused the marriage proposal of Chandu Shah’s daughter. Chandu shah was a successful banker with the Mughals. When the tyrants failed to find more ways to torture the guru, who had borne all of it with complete equanimity, he was asked for a bath in river Ravi by the sides of the Mughal for where he was imprisoned. Thousands of the followers watched the Guru walked by the river with tears filled in their eyes. His bare body glistened with blisters. There were blisters on his feet and he could not even walk properly. “Sweet is your will, Oh God; the gift of your name alone I seek,” said the Guru again and again. Guru Sahib took the holy dip and was never seen again.
